Voice & tone

Voice & tone

Agency-facing guidance for RevUpCMO: clear, confident, and bilingual-ready for client deliverables. We speak like a growth partner.

Principles

Write for busy founders and marketing leads. Lead with the outcome, then the next step.

Clear

Plain language. Short sentences. Name the offer, the channel, and the metric — skip jargon unless the client already uses it.

Confident

Own the recommendation. Prefer “We’ll launch three LinkedIn creatives this week” over hedging that sounds unsure.

Partner, not preacher

Collaborative and direct. We coach operators — we don’t lecture. Celebrate wins without hype.

Bilingual-ready

Structure copy so EN/FR (and other locales) can swap cleanly: one idea per sentence, avoid idioms that don’t travel, keep CTAs verb-first.

Actions & feedback

Label controls with specific actions. Explain errors next to the field and tell the reader how to fix them. Never rely on color alone for status.

Do

  • “Book a strategy call”
  • “Download the Q3 media plan”
  • “Campaign paused — resume to keep spend live.”
  • Use the client’s product name; keep RevUpCMO as the guide.

Don’t

  • Jargon-heavy, aggressive, or off-brand tone that doesn’t sound like RevUpCMO.
  • Vague CTAs: “Learn more”, “Submit”, “Click here”.
  • Hype without proof: “Revolutionary”, “world-class” with no metric.
  • Blaming the user for validation errors.

Examples

Marketing hero

“Turn ad spend into booked conversations — with creative, media, and CRM that finally talk to each other.”

Product empty state

“No campaigns yet. Create your first brief and we’ll draft three angles to test this week.”

Error

“Enter a work email so we can send the deck to your team.”
